WELCOME TO GLADWYNE

An upscale community with a vibrant and historic past.

One of the oldest of the Main Line communities, this historic neighborhood is a peaceful haven on the edge of Philadelphia. Its location makes it convenient for those who need to get into the city, but want to come home to a serene, wooded neighborhood. It maintains an upscale country feel that has been part of its DNA from the beginning.

Like most of the towns along the Main Line, Gladwyne was originally an agrarian community that developed into a thriving community after the railroad was built through it and the mills that were present at its founding faded out. Gladwyne experienced another revitalization when the Schuylkill Expressway was built in the 1960s, skyrocketing the community’s appeal thanks to the new easy access

Along its wooded streets, Gladwyne offers a mix of old, stately stone houses and more updated, often French provincial homes. The offerings in this neighborhood create a luxurious lifestyle in a very private, residential area that feels tucked away from the rest of the Main Line.
