WELCOME TO RITTENHOUSE
A luxurious neighborhood nestled in the heart of downtown.
One of Philadelphia’s most popular neighborhoods for locals and out-of-towners alike, Rittenhouse provides an upscale mix of luxury amenities and beautiful green space. It’s in the heart of downtown, full of hotels, shops, and restaurants. The warmer months bring alfresco dining and events in the park, and the winter brings cozy restaurants and holiday cheer, making Rittenhouse a vibrant community all year long.
When Philadelphia was founded, there were five public squares included in the original plan. Though it didn’t always have the same name, Rittenhouse Square was one of those five. It was quiet for a long time, but in the mid-19th century, the neighborhood began to spring up around the square. Stately Victorian mansions lined the lush space, and shops and restaurants soon followed.
Rittenhouse is full of upscale homes. Condos in luxury buildings look out over gorgeous parks and are full of amenities, including concierges, gyms, spas, valet parking, and salons. There are also less flashy condos in restored historic buildings on quiet streets. While there are also some new constructions, many brownstones and row houses have been immaculately restored, making them the perfect family homes with all the trappings of modern life in a beautiful place.
